Aug. 23-24 Short-Film Workshop

posterWe are proud to announce this new project which we believe will empower community members with valuable skills and create neighbourhood pride through short film.

Three experienced film mentors will be leading a free 2-day short film workshop (August 23+24 at the Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House, 800 E Broadway) that will provide participants with the basic skills needed to make their own short film. We aim to expose people with little or no prior experience to the tools and methods required to produce a short film, which we hope they will consider submitting to our Community Film Festival which will take place in October.

We invite the general public to review our film mentor profiles and apply to participate by filling out the form below. Please note that although not everyone will be accepted to participate in the workshop, our goal is to record the sessions and make them available to the public on our website. Preference will be given to applicants who work, volunteer or live in Mount Pleasant. Applications will close by August 15 and decisions will be communicated by August 17.
